Between full-time work and moonlighting as a food and nutrition writer, there's a little stitching going on.

Joseph's Coat
This is a Joseph's coat (similar to an orange peel but with six spokes) that was hand stitched by my grandma Hazel Millard in the 1940's-1950's. I am slowly hand quilting it, because it deserves to be hand quilted.
I love your Joseph's coat. I've always wanted to make one, even had the template drawn, but got distracted. I can't imagine hand quilting it. You'll have to keep track of your time. I'd be interested in knowing how long it takes.

Beautiful quilt, you're right it does deserve the hand quilting. Great family heriloom.
Oh, wow. It is spectacular! You are right...it totally deserves hand quilting!
